Every three years, the Kunstmuseum St.Gallen and the Kunst Halle host a friendly arts competition: the so-called “Heimspiel“ (home match). This exhibition has become an important platform for the creation of regional art within the cantons St.Gallen, Thurgau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden and the Principality of Liechtenstein that also receives much attention beyond the region’s borders. A colourful, heterogeneous exhibition and a reflection of the region’s contemporary art scene.
