This comprehensive exhibition showing what is happening in the regional art scene is organised every three years. A jury with external experts chooses from the applying works that will be presented at the same time at the Kunstmuseum and at the Kunst Halle. Realised under the auspices of the Canton of St. Gallen and with the participating Cantons Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Thurgau, the Principalty of Liechtenstein and the Austrian state of Vorarlberg, the exhibition becomes a frequently noticed display-window of art at this region.

This years jury with Sonja Feldmeier (artist based in Basel), Karlheinz Pichler (art critic based in Vorarlberg) and Sarah Zürcher (director of Fri-Art, Fribourg) choose 47 artists from 750 applications. The Kunst Halle is showing works by Dieter Berke, André Bless, Barbara Brülisauer, Walter Burger, Com+Com, Andy Guhl, Eva Kindlimann, Aurelio Kopainig, Yves Mettler, Patrick Rohner, Christoph Rütimann, Anina Schenker, Karin Schwarzbek, Aleksandra Signer, Peter Stoffel, Ursula Sulser, Bernard Tagwerker, and Herbert Weber.

 

This exhibition is co-organised by the Department of Culture of the Canton St. Gallen, the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen and the Projektraum EXEX St. Gallen.
