Stefano Cagol is on a journey, searching for energy. The Italian media artist and performer wants to give shape to the invisible and make it visible by using infrared technology.
On 18 March from 12:00 until 18:00 Stefano Cagol will be at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen where visitors can watch him at work and participate in his project «The Body of Energy (of the Mind)».
Stefano Cagol is recipient of the Artist in Residence programme by RWE Stiftung, which supports the artistic examination with energy and its importance for society. Cagol's nomadic transnational project is an expedition through Europe “scanning the new energy”. The journey started in October 2014 in Norway at Kunsthall Bergen and lead south, stopping at many institutions since. After the visit at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen it will continue to ZKM Karlsruhe (20/21 March) and eventually end at the border of Europe, at Gibraltar.
